Halloween Bash 2008 Wrap-up

Halloween 2008 was a very busy day at Diamond Eight Billiards! From young trick-or-treaters parading through the pool room in the afternoon, to our Spooky 9-Ball Tournament, and our awesome Scary Karaoke Halloween Bash, Halloween 2008 was a Diamond Eight event! Check out the photos from Halloween night!
Spooky 9-Ball Tournament

Congrats to Count Dracula Chris Smith, who claimed the first-place victory by edging out John Parkes in the tight final match. Thanks to everyone who played in the tournament!
Scary Karaoke Halloween Bash
Mark the Shark provided the tunes, and you provided the voice talent and incredible costumes to make Diamond Eight’s Halloween Bash a wicked good time!

Costume winners included Best Overall (Eric, as the ultimate geek), Most Creative (Ed, who came as a cue ball!), Scariest (Kevin, in full zombie garb), Best Rocker (Slash), and Cutest (the girl in pink!).

We also had come great couples, including Kathy and Vic, as a priest and nun (with child), Shane and Rachel, as Danny and Sandy from Grease, Cindy and Rosie, as 40s-style high society, and Ed and Angela, as crazy Red Sox fans. Shane and Rachel, and Cindy and Rosie, took home the prizes for best couple.

Our costume parade was quite a sight! All the costumes were fantastic! Thanks again to everyone who came and partied with us! It was a great time! See you soon!

Vote Today!
I don’t know which candidate would win in a game of 8-Ball, but either way, get out there and let your voice be heard! Polls are open early and close late, so there is no excuse for not voting! Then stop by Diamond Eight to watch the results while shooting a little stick…
Leave a comment and tell us: Which candidate would you rather shoot pool with?

Scotch Doubles League starting soon!
The APA’s Scotch Doubles League is slated to begin Monday night, October 13. The Scotch Doubles format is great fun: two team members (skill levels up to 10 combined) alternate shots, not turns. For example: Player A breaks and makes a ball. Player A’s partner then shoots and makes a ball. Player A then shoots again. More details are forthcoming!
Also planned is a Scotch Doubles tournament that will lead directly into league play a few days later. Set aside Saturday, October 11th for a Scotch Doubles tournament. More details will be announced soon. Stay tuned!
